The P510 is a rugged, high-productivity core cutter with automated core feeding and advanced programmable control for enhancing cut-to-length performance and integrating automation options. It’s the ideal solution for converters seeking the flexibility of producing any quantity of precision cores cut to variable or custom lengths.

The P510 features a PLC control with touch-screen display for exceptional flexibility in optimizing core materials and minimizing cut waste, operators can enter any variety of cut lengths and quantities. The PLC determines the number of parent cores and the best cut combination needed to produce the order with minimal scrap. The controller also displays the amount of core remaining when given varying cut sets. Once entered, these same cut sets can be stored, retrieved and/or edited for future use.

The PLC integrates easily with optional automated parent and cut core handling systems for enhanced automation and labor reductions, and with optional printers used to mark cut lengths on individual cut cores.

Like all Appleton core cutters, the P510 is engineered with proven features that ensure cut quality, ease of operation, and operator safety:

Free-Standing Control – The operator interface features an Allen-Bradley PanelView touch-screen display on a free-standing pedestal that can be placed wherever the operator finds most convenient.
Easy Setup – The touch-screen control makes this unit extremely easy to operate. Set-up is streamlined by use of intelligent, on-screen operating menus, operator prompts and displayed production data.
Automated Core Advancement – A servo driven ball-screw drive advances the core with perfect speed and control as dictated by the controller.
Precise, Polished Cuts – The air-assisted, fixed knife of the P510 makes clean, burnished cuts to within +/-0.015 inch of the targeted length while generating virtually no dust or noise.
Rugged Construction – The P510 may be the most affordable automated programmable core cutter on the market, yet it maintains Appleton’s high standards for robust construction and durability.
