P610 Programmable Core Cutter

Programmable core cutter for larger cores.

The P610 is designed specifically for the users of larger diameter and/or long length parent cores. It has the flexibility to handle:

• core diameters to 24 inches
• lengths to 30 feet, and
• core wall thickness to 1 inch

A programmable PLC control provides exceptional flexibility in optimizing core material and minimizing cut waste. As the operator enters lengths, the screen displays the amount of core remaining. These cut sets can be stored, retrieved, and edited for future use.

When initiated, the P610 core chuck automatically grips the new parent core and retracts until the end of the core is sensed. Parent cores are automatically advanced and cut to exacting lengths. Cut cores are discharged to the core handling system of your choosing. Parent core loading systems can also be added for a more complete, automated core cutting operation.

• Touch-Screen Control – The operator interface features an Allen-Bradley PanelView touch-screen display with easy-to-use menus and operator prompts.
• Easy Size Change – The P610 is easily adjusted to a different core I.D. with a simple change-out of the chuck jaws and cutting pads. Change-outs to new core diameters take as little as 5 minutes.
• Automated Core Advancement – The P610 automatically advances and cuts cores according to user programming. Parent cores can vary from 6-feet to 30-feet long.
• Precise, Polished Cuts – The air-assisted, fixed knife of the P610 makes clean, burnished cuts to within +/-0.020-0.030 inch of the targeted length while generating virtually no dust or noise.
• Rugged Construction – The P610 may be the most affordable large core programmable core cutter on the market, yet it maintains Appleton’s high standards for robust construction and durability.
